Quick Start

This guide walks you through the essential steps to start managing your inventory and procurement with StockrHub. By the end, you will have a supplier configured, products linked with cost prices, and your first purchase order ready to send.

If you have not already installed StockrHub, head over to the Installation guide and follow the instructions. Once installed, open the app from Apps > StockrHub in your Shopify admin.

When you first open StockrHub, the Dashboard gives you an overview of your store:

  • Total products synced from Shopify
  • Inventory levels across all locations
  • Low stock alerts for items below their reorder point
  • Recent purchase orders and their status

Take a moment to confirm that your products and locations have synced correctly. If anything looks off, wait a minute and refresh — the initial sync may still be in progress.

Navigate to the Suppliers page and click Add Supplier. Fill in the following details:

  • Supplier name — The company name of your vendor
  • Contact email — Where purchase orders will be sent
  • Lead time — Average number of days from order to delivery (e.g., 7 days)
  • Payment terms — Your agreed terms with this supplier (e.g., Net 30)

Click Save to create the supplier.

Now link your products to the supplier you just created. Go to Item Pricing and click Add Item Price:

  • Select a supplier from the dropdown
  • Select a product/variant to link
  • Enter the cost price — what you pay the supplier per unit
  • Optionally set a supplier SKU if it differs from your Shopify SKU

Repeat this for each product you source from this supplier.

Head to the Purchase Orders page and click Create PO:

  1. Select a supplier — only suppliers with linked items will appear.
  2. Add line items — choose products and enter the quantities you want to order.
  3. Review the order — verify items, quantities, and the total cost.
  4. Send via email — click Send to email the PO directly to your supplier as a PDF attachment.

Your purchase order is now tracked in StockrHub. You can update its status as it moves through the procurement lifecycle: Draft > Sent > Partially Received > Received > Closed.

To get automatic reorder suggestions, configure reorder rules for your products. Go to a product’s detail view or the Reorder Rules section:

  • Reorder point — the stock level at which StockrHub flags the item as low stock (e.g., 10 units)
  • Reorder quantity — how many units to suggest ordering when the reorder point is hit (e.g., 50 units)

Once configured, StockrHub will:

  • Show low stock alerts on the dashboard when items fall below their reorder point
  • Generate reorder suggestions that you can convert into purchase orders with one click

You are now up and running with StockrHub. Here are some recommended next steps:

  • Configuration — Customize your company details, PO templates, email settings, and alert preferences.
  • Multi-location tracking — If you have multiple warehouses or retail locations, StockrHub tracks inventory at each one independently.
  • Demand forecasting — As order data accumulates, StockrHub analyzes sales velocity to provide smarter reorder recommendations.
  • Email alerts — Set up automated low stock notifications so you never miss a reorder window.
